History

Del Rio Enterprises, Inc., formerly known as Del Rio Electric Co. was founded by Kevin R. Garcia in 1984. This year, 2023, DREI is celebrating its 39th year in business. Together, Kevin and his daughter Brandice Ortega, who has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, and a Master’s Degree in Construction Management from the University of New Mexico manage the everyday operations of the company. Brandice has worked with the company since 2005. In 2018 the company restructured and Brandice is now President of the company and DREI is a SBA certified economically disadvantaged woman-owned small business.

Qualifications

DREI has been in business in New Mexico since 1984 and is a licensed general, electrical and high voltage electrical contractor in New Mexico, as well as a licensed electrical contractor in Colorado. Although we are general contractors, our emphasis has been on electrical, including inside wiring, exterior electrical, special electrical systems, EMCS and electrical underground utility, both low and high voltage. Our customer base has been primarily State and Federal government, government prime contractors, and large HVAC controls companies, in mostly industrial, R&D and institutional facilities. On an average our employees have 15 years of experience in the trade, with several in excess of 25 years.
